Description

Acacia Honey (پھلائی) also known as Phulai, Palosa (Pashto) or Kikar honey, is a raw, monofloral honey harvested from the blossoms of the Acacia tree (Acacia modesta) in Punjab, Pakistan.

Unlike darker, stronger-tasting honeys, Phulai honey is naturally light in colour, smooth in texture and pleasantly mild, making it an easy favourite for everyday use. Our Acacia Honey is kept raw and natural, with no added sugar, artificial ingredients or unnecessary processing.

Whether you're stirring a spoonful into your morning tea, drizzling it over yogurt, or simply enjoying it straight from the jar, this is honey in one of its simplest, most natural forms.

Ingredients

100% Pure & Natural Honey. No added sugar or artificial ingredients.

Precaution

Not for infants under 1 year.

We know Ghutti (گھُٹّی / Ghurti) is a beautiful tradition in many Pakistani families, and for generations, giving a newborn something sweet has been a part of welcoming them into the family.

But when it comes to honey, current medical guidance recommends avoiding it completely before 12 months, even when the honey is 100% pure, raw and natural, because it can contain spores that may cause infant botulism, a rare but serious illness.

We respect the tradition. We’re simply choosing to follow the latest safety guidance for little ones. 🤍

FAQ’s

Where is this Acacia honey sourced from?

Our Acacia honey is sourced from Punjab, Pakistan. It is collected by Usama, a beekeeper from Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, using traditional harvesting methods with no chemicals or heat processing.

Does Acacia honey crystallize?

Yes, pure honey can crystallize naturally over time. Acacia-type honeys generally crystallize more slowly than many other varieties because of their natural sugar composition, but the exact timing can vary depending on the floral source, moisture content and storage conditions.

Crystallization does not mean the honey has spoiled or been mixed with sugar.

Why does some honey not crystallize?

Some honey, like Sidr honey, may stay liquid for a very long time due to its natural composition and low glucose level.
In some cases, processed or heated honey can also remain liquid longer than natural raw honey.

Can honey contain gluten?

Pure honey does not contain gluten, because it comes from flower nectar rather than from wheat, barley, or rye. Gluten can only appear if it’s introduced afterward, through added ingredients or cross‑contact during processing, which is why reading labels is still worthwhile.

Is honey safe for people with celiac disease?

Pure honey is naturally gluten‑free and is generally a good fit for a celiac‑friendly diet, as long as it hasn’t been blended with gluten‑containing ingredients or exposed to cross‑contact. Check the label, and talk with your healthcare provider about your specific needs.

Can people with diabetes use honey?

Honey is still a source of sugar and carbohydrates, so it can raise blood glucose levels just like other sweeteners. People with diabetes should use honey in moderation and account for it within their overall eating plan. If you have diabetes, follow the advice of your healthcare professional.

Is Acacia Honey good for newborns?

No. Honey is not recommended for babies under 1 year of age, even if it is 100% pure, raw and natural, because of the risk of infant botulism, a rare but serious illness.

Can honey be stored in the refrigerator?

You don't need to refrigerate honey. Store it at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, with the lid tightly closed. Refrigeration can encourage honey to crystallize faster.
